Kneeling During A Game - Stand To Our National Anthem

I am proud to be an American.  We have soldiers fighting for our freedoms in the USA everyday. Soldiers are losing their lives daily for this great Country.  The National Anthem is for our Country and to those BRAVE Men and Women who fight for us everyday.  We need to stand up during the National Anthem and respect our Country and those BRAVE Men and Women fighting for our freedoms.

I believe during the initial kneeling with a football player, he was protesting police brutality.  I am not saying he has no right to protest.  However, to do it during the National Anthem for our Country wasn't the best platform to do it.  I believe there are other ways to protest such a big issue in our Country.

I am not naive to believe there isn't police brutality in this Country.  I believe bringing this issue to the forefront is necessary and should be addressed.  I don't know why kneeling to our Countries National Anthem was a great choice for such a protest, but I do believe those players on NFL teams, local teams, baseball players, etc.., have a chance to voice their opinions about police brutality and can be very effective doing so, but it should have been done in a different way.  Why not speak about the issue? Why not tell the stories of those who have been brutalized by police?  Start a campaign?  PEOPLE WILL LISTEN!  I PROMISE YOU THAT!  WE AS AMERICANS BELIEVE IN FAIR/EQUAL RIGHTS OF ALL PEOPLE.

PLEASE STAND AND RESPECT OUR COUNTRY AND ALL THOSE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOMS.

I do believe from the first kneel of that football player, to all the kneels today, the reason was lost as to why he started the protest in the first place.  I think had this person realized the repercussions of his actions, I think he would have protested using other avenues other than kneeling to our National Anthem.  That is what I would like to believe.

We have a great Country, and BRAVE Men and Women that are fighting for this great Country and fighting for each and every one of us.  The one thing we can do, so they know they are appreciated and respected, IS TO STAND FOR OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM!

I know this is a touchy subject and I am not naive to that, I expect I may get backlash for it, but please think about why we stand during our National Anthem with our hand over our hearts.

Thanks to all that take the time to read this.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
